Problem Note 38574: A "NoClassDefFoundError" for class X11GraphicsEnvironment occurs when you start the SASĀ® Warranty Analysis application server via a Telnet session
When you start the SAS Warranty Analysis application server on a UNIX system through a Telnet connection, the following error occurs:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/awt/X11GraphicsEnvironment
The problem occurs because SAS Warranty Analysis uses SILK graph components, which do not work with headless mode (
SAS Warranty Analysis 4.1 - SILK Components - Headless Mode Workaround).
To work around this issue, set the DISPLAY variable. From a Telnet command prompt, run the following:
export DISPLAY=hostname/ip address of the server running X server0.0
